This has been a wonderful activity for my first grade class. It easily lends itself to math, science, reading, writing, and even social studies extensions.
By taking turns, every child can participate in readying the VermiPods and the Earthworm Nursery. They think the babies are cute, and marvel at how big they grow. We will release the grown worms in the spring, happy to know that we are doing something to make the Earth healthier.
